Domestic Partners
Roger Addison, CPT, is a performance improvement consultant, and co-author of Performance Archicture: The Art and Science of Improving Organizations. His Doctorate in Educational Psychology was earned at Baylor University.
Karen Belyan has extensive experience as a trainer/facilitator, public speaker, and designer of programs and processes to support continuous performance improvement in organizations. She earned an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction, Michigan State University and an Advanced Certificate as a Training Specialist, Georgetown University.
Launa Craig managed a client facilitated mentoring processes and has collaborated on Coordinator development and mentoring process design. Her B. S. degree in Organizational Behavior was earned at the University of San Francisco.
Richard Hammett, Ed.D. is a founding faculty member of the Emotional Intelligence Training and Research Initiative (EITRI) and executive editor of The International Journal of Transformative Emotional Intelligence (TIJTEI). He earned his doctorate from Texas A&M University-Kingsville following a 28-year career in the U.S. Navy. Rick is co-author of the Personal Excellence Map® (PEM®) (Nelson, Low, & Hammett, 2007), a keystone instrument used by Emotional Intelligence Learning Systems, Inc. for developing leadership skills.
Gary Low, Ph.D. is a professor emeritus of counseling and educational leadership at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, co-author of positive assessment models and learning systems related to transformative emotional intelligence, and founding faculty member of the Emotional Intelligence Training and Research Institute (EITRI). He is also a co-author of the Skills for Career And Life Effectiveness® (SCALE®) (Nelson & Low, 2011), an instrument used extensively by MMHA. His book, Emotional Intelligence: Achieving Academic and Career Excellence in College and Life (Nelson & Low, 2003, 2011), is used in many U.S. colleges and universities and has been translated into Korean.
Michael McCrary has many years experience in civilian personnel and training positions with the US government. Mike earned a B. A. in Humanities at the New College of California, and has continued graduate work in Instructional Technology at the American University.
Darwin B. Nelson, Ph.D. Esteemed colleague and source of replenishment. A consulting psychologist, co-author of positive assessment models and learning systems related to transformative emotional intelligence, and founding faculty member of the Emotional Intelligence Training and Research Institute (EITRI). Co-author of the Skills for Career And Life Effectiveness® (SCALE®) (Nelson & Low, 2011), an instrument used extensively by MMHA. Vincent W. Patton retired Master Chief Petty Officer Coast Guard, the top senior enlisted leader and ombudsman position, and was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal. Vince earned his Doctorate at American University, with his Dissertation based on the development and implementation of the Coast Guard Enlisted Evaluation System. His Masters is in Counseling Psychology, Loyola University.
Walter Ratcliff
We are saddened by his sudden death. We will fiercely miss his valued professional contributions and swift, savvy wit.
William R. Rees was awarded the MMHA The Managers’ Mentors Associate Emeritus in 1995.
Daniel Swafford has managed a residential care facility while in Santa Barbara and served as a mentor and tutor coordinator at Laney College in Oakland. His B.A. in Economics and Political Science was earned at U.C. Santa Barbara.
